Apex Legends is a huge smash-hit multiplayer fighting game that has just been released at the beginning of this year. The game features Battle Royale style combining other MOBA elements which were built based on Titanfall universe. There are no promotion programs for Apex Legends, but it can draw the attention of many gamers from across the world thanks to its high compatibility with many platforms, and more than that, it’s a free-to-play game.
There is no denying that Apex Legends has a good starting, however, like other Battle Royale games, this title is also facing a big problem which is hack/cheat. Since the game is free to play, the costs for the tools are much cheaper, giving chances and advantages for the hackers/cheaters to approach and utilize.
16000 players had been kicked out of the game within almost 2 weeks for using hacking tools
Being recently launched, Apex Legends had to face off against the hack/cheat problem when there were already up to 16000 players getting banned from the game within almost 2 weeks for using hacking tools. The development team of Apex Legends has officially reported that they had banned accounts of more than 16000 hackers/cheaters since the release date which was on February 5th. In addition, the developers also cheer up other players and tell them if they come across any hackers, they should try to keep the evidence and send it to the dev team, or if there is no evidence, try to provide the team with the ID of that suspect for the investigation.
At the moment, Apex Legends has no accusation system yet, players have to report the hackers/cheaters via a supporting website. Nevertheless, Respawn also expressed that they already got some requests about developing the accusation feature, and they thought this was such a great idea. Therefore, maybe in the forthcoming time, the development team will carry out building this feature and adding it to the game for the players to detect the hackers and for bringing a fair gaming experience to all people.
Hack/cheat is such a big issue you always see in most of the Battle Royale games, especially PUBG. The game witnesses a dramatic drop in a number of players due to hackers/cheaters. If Apex Legends has no useful solutions to this problem as well as to stop it from expanding, the game may face a huge risk.
Aside from the announcements on hack/cheat, Respawn also reveals that there is going to be a patch version released at the end of this week in order to improve the features, stability, and quality of the game. Simultaneously, starting tomorrow, Respawn will publish updates every day on Reddit so players can have a better grasp of the game as well as learn more about the advancement of Apex Legends.
